What rebirth is trying to do

In incremental shooters, rebirth (prestige) usually:

• Grants a permanent or semi-permanent power multiplier
• Resets some session progress (currency, stage position, sometimes gun unlocks)
• Keeps account milestones such as badges, gamepasses, or rebirth count

Honest warning: confirm keep vs reset in-game

1. What bonus do I gain (damage mult, medal mult, both, something else)?
2. What currencies reset to zero?
3. Which guns stay unlocked, which return to shop, which become rebirth-gated elites?
4. Do areas/stages reset?
5. Does Buddy progress persist?
6. Are there requirements (medal threshold, stage clear, prior rebirth count)?

If the tooltip is vague, assume the harsher interpretation and only prestige when the listed bonus clearly outpaces the rebuild time you experienced this run.

When to rebirth (decision framework)

Rebirth when most of these are true:

• Trash robots in your current best farming area die quickly, but the next area or boss barely moves.

• You already bought the comfort gun for this loop and are banking medals instead of panic-spending.
• You have scouted Stages BOSS enough to know whether raw multipliers—not mechanics—are the blocker.
• You can rebuild to your previous comfort point in a fraction of the time this run took.

Delay rebirth when:

• You still have a cheap S/A upgrade that would immediately raise medal/hour.
• You are mid-unlock on Buddy and want that assist online first (Buddy).
• You are about to finish a stage clear that might gate content.
• You do not understand the tooltip yet.

Typical patterns (use as hypotheses, not gospel)

Across Roblox incremental games you often see variants like:

• Soft prestige: Keep some guns, lose currency, gain small mult.
• Standard prestige: Lose most spendable progress, keep badges and rebirth count, gain meaningful mult.
• Layered prestige: Later rebirths cost more but pay more; early ones are cheap teaching tools.
